All Friends of the Earth Scotland members are warmly invited to our online Annual General Meeting on Saturday 29 May 2021.

Friends of the Earth Scotland is a democratic, grassroots organisation and the AGM is an opportunity for members to influence our direction as well as elect members of our Board. (see details below)

Due to the ongoing coronavirus restrictions on large gatherings, this event will take place online via Zoom. This online event will give you a chance to meet the team, to learn about our campaigns and work over the past year and strengthen your connections with other members.

Guest Speaker: Meena Raman
With guest speaker Meena Raman on ‘Climate Justice and the UN Climate Talks in Glasgow’

Meena Raman, legal adviser and senior researcher at Third World Network will join us at the end for a 20 minute presentation with time for questions at the end. Meena is a board member of Friends of the Earth International and honorary secretary to Friends of the Earth Malaysia (Sahabat Alam).

How to join the FoES Board

If you would like to seek election to the FoES Board, please contact Wing Yen Yip on wyip@foe.scot for a nomination form. Your nomination will require to be supported and signed by two paid-up members of FoE Scotland and should be received by the Secretary no later than 14 days before the AGM (14.05.2021).

Submit motions to the AGM

You can no longer submit motions to be debated as part of the AGM.

All motions and alterations to the rules of the organisation should have been received by the Secretary in writing no later than 14 days before the AGM (14.05.2021).
