Online Rally for the Global Week of Action for Climate Finance and a Fossil Free Future
Find out how we can join the Global Week of Action for Climate Finance and a Fossil-Free Future from the 13th - 20th of September.Wealthy countries in the Global North such as the UK have long made big promises on tackling the climate crisis — but have so far failed to deliver the resources needed to honour them.
Those who are facing the worst consequences of our reliance on fossil fuels and polluting industries have done the least to cause climate breakdown — yet face the worst effects.
Against this backdrop, the UK refuses to pay its fair share in climate finance and continues its reliance on fossil fuels.
Join us on Wednesday and hear about how you can stand in solidarity with movements worldwide and demand the UK Government takes decisive action on climate.
You'll hear from:
- Asad Rehman (War on Want / Climate Justice Coalition)
- Tasneem Essop (CAN International)
- Sally Clark (Friends of the Earth Scotland)
- Tyrone Scott (War on Want)
Everyone is very welcome!
