Join our National Meetings
Friends of the Earth Scotland is kicking off monthly national meetings for our movement to learn, share and plot together.
This new series of events will begin with us asking big questions: “why do we need to change this exploitative system and how do we collectively build a movement that makes lasting change inevitable?”
Why now?
Those in power want us to feel hopeless and powerless. The billionaire class is leading an unprecedented attack on climate action, the rights of marginalised people and even the right to protest, as our climate and ecosystems begin to break down.
Yet history is brimming with people’s movements that have overcome such challenges with determination and defiance, winning lasting changes for justice and our planet. We can do this too!
Now is the time to plan together so we can come back stronger.

What will be discussed?
We have some ideas for neighbourhood organising, local and regional action, visionary national campaigns, greater democracy and participation, finding common ground and resisting division.
We’ve lots to share. Join Friends of the Earth Scotland staff and members to hear about how we will renew our movement to win justice and transformational change, starting now.
We have a world to win and we can’t do it without you.
As well as our lead topic each event will also include the latest about our campaigns and open space for reflection and discussion.
