Commenting on John Swinney’s speech today at the RSPB’s Scotland’s Natural Wealth conference, Duncan McLaren, Chief Executive of Friends of the Earth Scotland, said:

“These welcome proposals for green jobs need a green economic stimulus to deliver them. Lord Nicholas Stern has suggested 0.8% of GDP – equivalent to £650m for Scotland – is urgently needed. When John Swinney presents the revised Scottish budget it must include a substantial investment in home energy improvements as previously supported by the Parliament.” [1]
