A colony of penguins accompanied by their friends will today march to Parliament to meet with Stewart Stevenson, Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Climate Change. They will be joined on the march by a 10 piece bagpipe band.

They will deliver their message of “Save the humans” to the Minister.

Corinne Evans, Head of Campaigns at Friends of the Earth Scotland, said:

“Penguins are under grave threat from climate change, but they have taken the time to warn us humans that we still have time to protect ourselves. They have come to see the Minister to demand a strong Scottish Climate Law.

“People can add their own voice to the penguins’ calls by writing to their MSP at bigaskscotland.org.uk. The world’s eyes are on Scotland – a strong law here will have a massive knock-on effect on forthcoming laws around the world.”
