Submission to Consultation on Permitted Development Rights for Domestic Microgeneration Equipment

This joint response from Friends of the Earth Scotland and the Association for the Conservation of Energy addresses the Scottish Government’s intention to remove the requirement for planning permission for many microgeneration installations.

This submission paper outlines both organisations’ response to the key points of the consultation document, expresses our disappointment at the lack of ambition reflected in the proposals and presents amendments that could have Scotland leading the way in reducing emissions from the built environment and boosting the microgeneration industry.
