Polluted Pensions? Clearing the air around UK pensions and fossil fuels
‘Polluted Pensions? Clearing the air around UK pensions and fossil fuels’ investigates the investments of six of the UK’s largest pension funds to consider what is a typical investment in fossil fuels. This assesment is then scaled up to apply to the UK pension sector at large, finding that investment in fossil fuels of £128 billion would be expected, £1,916 per UK citizen.
The report also details fossil fuel divestment commitments made by major pension funds, including detailed case studies of Islingonton, London, and New York.
