Response to the Advisory Group on Economic Recovery
This document sets out Friends of the Earth Scotland’s response to the questions posed by the Scottish Government’s Advisory Group on Economic Recovery.
The Advisory Group launched a consultation asking for suggestions on how Scotland’s economy could recover from the impacts of COVID-19. Our response sets out some of the measures that the Scottish Government should prioritise in its economic recovery plans to deliver a Just and Green Recovery.
Amongst other things, we call for a Publicly Owned Energy Company with power to generate its own power, improvements to sustainable transport to support mobility, and a move away from using GDP as the sole measure of economic success.
