Transport is one of the many areas of public life which has seen extraordinary changes during the coronavirus shutdown. In this online meeting, we looked at how air quality, transport, and our ability to walk and cycle have been affected during this pandemic.

Our air pollution campaigner Gavin Thomson talks through some of the radical changes we’ve seen in the way that governments run public transport in Scotland, the UK, and around the world.

Social distancing and the need to exercise at a safe distance from others has brought attention to our public space. Many of our pavements are narrower than 2 metres, but the roads are largely free of cars. So, should we see a (temporary) reallocation of public space?
