Campaign Organisers
Are you concerned about the level of air pollution outside your child’s school? Do you think your local council should divest from fossil fuels? Are you frustrated about the lack of cycle infrastructure or poor public transport links?
Our year-long Campaign Organisers programme is your way to address the issues that concern you and make a difference in your local community.
Organised in partnership with the Ethnic Minority Environmental Network, Campaign Organisers is based on the principles of community organising. This means we’ll be focused on creating strong, sustainable groups, rooted in local communities and capable of fighting for environmental and climate justice in the long-term.
The programme includes:
- Two residential training weekends (2020 dates TBC)
- Ongoing 1:1 telephone and in-person support
- Online skill-shares with other participants and guest experts
- A small grant to kick-start your first campaign
- A platform to connect and collaborate with campaigners across the country
Upon successfully finishing the programme, you will receive a certificate of completion from Friends of the Earth Scotland.

Our Fossil-Free Scotland campaign is fighting for a just transition to a 100% renewable, nuclear-free, zero-fossil-fuel Scotland and we need your help to make it happen.
We have spaces reserved for divestment and air pollution campaigners, but are also interested in hearing from campaigners working on other areas that contribute to the goal of a fossil-free Scotland.
