A Play for Torry
A Play for Torry is a bold, community-led theatre production created by local residents, artists, and campaigners in Torry, Aberdeen.
Described as “part ceilidh, part protest, part love-letter to a community that refuses to be quiet”, it explores the impact of the industry, land grabs, and environmental decisions in the historic neighbourhood.
The play grew directly out of local resistance against plans to bulldoze St Fittick’s Park—Torry’s last remaining green space—to construct an Energy Transition Zone (ETZ).
