Scottish Parliament Election 2026

Whoever wins the Scottish Parliament election, new MSPs will have to deliver climate solutions that improve people’s lives.
The next Scottish Government must create better buses, warm homes with lower bills and ensure our renewable energy system is run in the public interest.
These are achievable, popular goals that ensure that vital services are no longer being exploited by big businesses whilst the public suffer.
The necessary move away from fossil fuels to renewables is an opportunity to put power back into public hands.
We are building people power through local grassroots action and you should get involved with us on this journey far beyond this election.
All parties in the election should commit to:
Better buses
Bring back public control to create a bus system that connects isolated people and communities, cuts inequality and advances climate justice.
Warm homes
People need a fully funded warm homes programme that cuts bills, brings down climate emissions and ensures every home is liveable.
Putting energy in our hands
The move away from fossil fuels is a chance to build a publicly owned energy system, which creates good, unionised, manufacturing jobs and generates wealth back into communities in Scotland.
What are we doing for the election

We are organising events and providing the skills and opportunities for people to hold decison makers to account.
The problems that people in Scotland are facing are caused by greedy business and billionaires exploiting our basic needs for their profits. Furthermore, those who are scapegoating people who are already marginalised or seeking safety is an attempt to misdirect anger and frustration. So we are putting on an event to give people the skills to oppose these far right ideas.
The wealthiest and the big polluters who are benefiting from climate breakdown and rampant inequality should be the ones paying for the transition away from fossil fuels. We’ll help people make the case to politicians that climate solutions should be prioritised, and to ignore the corporate lobbying.
The election is a milestone along the journey of these campaigns, and whatever the outcome, we will continue to build people power in communities and fight for the positive transformation that is needed.
