Local Authorities should support steps to stop fracking locally and nationally. As well as ending fracking at home, they should also stop investing in companies fracking elsewhere in the world.
To open up a new source of fossil fuels would run counter to the Scottish Government’s efforts to be a world leader on climate action. Therefore, the only reasonable course of action for the Scottish Government is to ban all forms of unconventional oil and gas extraction.
